Mariam Tagmouti

Knowledge mobilization advisor

Mariam Tagmouti received a Ph.D. degree in computer science and operations research from the University of Montreal in 2008. Her doctoral research focused on vehicle and arc routing problems with time-dependent service costs. At the end of her PhD, she was a Postdoctoral fellow at the Network Research Lab, University of Montreal and then at École Polytechnique de Montréal. She collaborated with graduate students to publish many scientific papers. Her research interests include transportation problems, dynamic problems, combinatorial optimization, heuristics, and exact methods to solve problems in logistics, transportation and telecommunications.

In 2011, she joined the industrial sector and worked at Clear Destination, where she spent more than 10 years actively participating in developing a complex end-to-end delivery management solution covering the path from manufacturers to end customers. She acted as an operational research specialist and as the R&D and innovation lead at the company. She was also the bridge between the research community and Clear Destination’s industrial partners leading many research projects. She supported researchers and graduate students in understanding companies’ needs and in getting real data to validate theoretical results.
